The Office

Last week I took a step in saving time and money. I bought soda.

Explaination: whenever I want a soda at work I have two options. I can go to the machine and buy a can for $0.60 or I can go across the street to Maverick and get a 44 oz. refill for $0.95. The nice thing about getting a can is that I don’t need a lot of soda, and that limits me to a can. The nice thing about a refill is that it is a better deal. The down side of the can is that it is not a very good deal and the down side to the refill at Maverick is that it takes time, I am likely to waste even more money on other stuff I don’t need (candy etc.), and I don’t need 44 oz. of soda. So while at the grocery store on Wed. I got two 12 packs. = Saving money.

So, I come into work this morning and low and behold, four cans or so were gone! I cannot believe that someone in my office would do that. Who sees a 12 pack of soda in a company lunchroom fridge and think to themselves, “Golly, looks like free soda today!”?! When I was in college and had roomates, you kind of expect stuff like that to get swiped every now and again… I am just blown away that it would happen at a professional office such as the one I work in.
