Dino Dinner, Christmas Style!

I made a deal with myself a few days ago: no more blogging until all the pictures from the last couple of months were edited, tagged, and filed away in their proper places. There were about 400 files to go through and the thought of tackling them made me a bit of a procrastinator. But, I’m finally DONE! There were so many more pics from this fall that were worth sharing, but I’ll spare you that!

When we moved down from Cache Valley, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that several of my good friends from the hometown live within just a few minutes of us. About 4 years ago we started having monthly dinners. We each take turns hosting and it’s been such a fun thing to look forward to each month. When Christmas time rolls around, we let the kids draw names to give gifts to each other, and the adults give white elephants at our montlhly dinner. Every year they get funnier and funnier! We’ve also added lots more kids to the mix in the last couple of years, and things can get REALLY chaotic…but it’s too fun a tradition to let go!

For those of you who don’t know these people, the pictures probably won’t mean much…but since I know some of you haven’t seen them in forever, I thought it would be fun to share.

9 kids in my little living room makes for a big jumble of noise!

For Jami, who is forever losing her keys: A keychain she’s sure to not misplace.

IMG_3642

For Kate, who is a proud Carbon Dino: An Emery Spartans t-shirt.

For Joseph, who is not in favor of promoting Santa: A mini version of the Jolly fellow himself.

For Chris, who’s salary we all know, thanks to utahsright.com: A music video entitled “Chris ‘n Tiff Lifestlye”, set to the music of Cake’s “Rock ‘n Roll Lifestyle”. The best gift of the night, if I do say so myself….and I do say so, because we were up well past midnight finishing it.

For Tiffany, who is a self-proclaimed candle hoarder: A candle for every number 0-9, so that she’ll be covered, no matter how old anybody in her family is turning. Not the best pic of her, but Chris’s face was too good to pass up.

For Mark, who is too quiet to really figure out a personalized gift for: A stuffed hot dog and hamburger.

IMG_3664

For Erik, the massage therapist: An electric foot massager.

One of the advantages to always being behind the camera is that nobody gets ridiculously cheesy pictures of me to post on their blogs ;)

Thanks, friends, for a night filled with great food, great company, and lots of laughs!!
