Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we headed down to my hometown stomping grounds.  My brother and his wife just purchased their first home, and they were excited to host their first big gathering.   Both the meal and the company were wonderful!  The cousins had lots of fun playing together over the long weekend.  My mom, Joseph, and I joined the throngs of shoppers (which is really quite small in comparison to what you see in the big city) to do some Black Friday shopping. We got almost everything we had hoped for and were back home by 7:00 that morning.  We headed home Saturday morning, decorated for Christmas, and then settled in just in time for the icky sickies to hit us.  Emmy got it early Sunday morning, and Ryan started up last night.  Needless to say, we’re having a pajama day at our house today and crossing our fingers that nobody else gets it!

  5. I feel totally lame that you’ve been sick and still managed to blog. Perhaps I’ll just put a link to your page on mine and call it done! I think your pictures captured the weekend beautifully!

  6. In my defense, I posted the Thanksgiving one earlier in the day, before *I*got sick, and I had started the Polar Express one then too–just didn’t have the pictures ready–so that was easy to throw up (pardon the pun ;) once I got feeling a bit better.
